Privacy Policy

The plain-language version

JobMarkup does not require an account, does not track you, and does not run a cloud workspace. Photos and markups stay in the app until you choose to export or share them.

Data collection

JobMarkup does not collect personal data for CAPPSLOCK Softworks LLC. The app has no advertising SDK, analytics SDK, or app-owned network account system. It stores basic app preferences on your device, such as welcome state and purchase access state.

Photos and device permissions

JobMarkup requests access only when it is needed:

• The camera when you choose Take Job Photo.
• Photo-library permission when you first choose Choose Photo. After permission is granted, JobMarkup may prepare local photo metadata and thumbnails on your device so the picker opens faster.
• Add-only photo-library access when you use Save to Photos, so JobMarkup can write the finished marked photo to your library.
• The clipboard when you choose Paste Screenshot.

The selected image is processed locally for markup. JobMarkup does not upload your photos to a CAPPSLOCK Softworks server.

Exporting and sharing

When you choose Share from the editor, JobMarkup first shows a preview of the exact exported image. From Preview, you can choose Save to Photos or Share. Share opens the system share sheet, where you decide which app or person receives the image. You can also use Save to Photos directly from the editor. The privacy practices of a service you choose from the share sheet are governed by that service.

App Store purchases

Purchases and restoration are handled by Apple through StoreKit. CAPPSLOCK Softworks LLC does not receive your full payment-card details. Apple's handling of purchase data is governed by Apple's privacy policy and your App Store settings.

Retention and deletion

JobMarkup does not maintain a cloud copy of your photos or exports. You control files that you save or share through your device. Removing the app removes its local app data subject to your device backups and Apple's platform behavior.
